VANCOUVER, Wash. – Another structure at the Port of Vancouver USA’s Terminal 1 comes down this week as the port continues its efforts to redevelop its historic waterfront site.

Working daylight hours, Monday through Friday, crews will demolish the Columbia Shores office building, located at 110 Columbia Street on Block D of the Terminal 1 waterfront redevelopment. Work begins April 5 and is expected to take about two weeks.

Demolition is not expected to impact drivers on Columbia Way or visitors to the Warehouse ’23 restaurant and event space. Daytime visitors can expect truck traffic around the building and on Columbia Way.

The Columbia Shores building was built in 1968 and most recently housed port tenant offices; those tenants were relocated in January.

The building is being removed because it encroaches on the footprint of the future AC by Marriott Hotel planned by the port’s developer, Vesta Hospitality.
