Brewcraft_04252013_4155-webBrewcraft, the winner of the Port of Vancouver’s 2012 Tenant of the Year award, is a distributor of U-make it products, including kits for beer, wine, and cheese. The company became a port tenant in June 2011 and started with 5,000 square feet of warehouse space to store bottles. The move was motivated after discussions of relocating Brewcraft’s operations from Portland to the Port of Vancouver to be closer to their subsidiary Great Western Malting and partner Country Malt.

The company signed a long-term lease for 38,000 square feet of warehouse and office facilities in March of 2012, and has since made substantial improvements to the warehouse and office facilities. Brewcraft soon expanded in to the adjacent 28,000 square feet space as well, resulting in an increase from 12,000 to 66,000 square feet of growth in 2012. In addition, Brewcraft increased its staff by 25 percent, resulting in 22 total employees.

The substantial investment in building improvements partnered with job creation and expansion makes Brewcraft a clear winner for the 2012 Tenant of the Year award. Cheers to that!
