VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss the port’s 2014 budget at a workshop this coming Monday, October 21, beginning at 9 a.m. at the port’s administrative office, located at 3103 NW Lower River Road, Vancouver. The budget workshop is open to the public, although no official public comment will be taken during the workshop.

The three commissioners will then consider adoption of the port’s preliminary budget for 2014 at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 22, the day following the workshop. Open session will begin at 9:30 a.m., in the Commission Room, also at the port’s administrative office. Adoption of the preliminary budget document by Commissioners Jerry Oliver, Brian Wolfe and Nancy Baker is among the first steps in the port’s public process of establishing the organization’s budget for 2014.

Input from the public regarding the port’s 2014 budget is welcome at the upcoming commission meeting on October 22 and at the commission’s next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 12. Click to view the port’s two-page 2014 preliminary budget.

The commission is expected to vote on the final 2014 budget at the November 12 meeting, during which a formal public hearing on the subject will be held.

Both regular meetings will be televised live on CVTV (Cable Channel 21) beginning at 9:30 a.m. They also will be streamed live on www.cvtv.org and will be archived later in the day on the same website for future viewing.
