Port of Vancouver USA waterfront workshop scheduled for June 18
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Join the Port of Vancouver USA and its consultant, NBBJ, at a workshop for the port’s waterfront revitalization project Thursday, June 18.
What: Commission workshop for the Port of Vancouver’s waterfront project
When: Noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18
Where: Port administrative office, 3103 Northwest Lower River Road, Vancouver
This commission workshop is open to the public. It will be broadcast live and recorded on www.cvtv.org.
During the workshop, the port and NBBJ will go through an architectural exercise called “massing” to help determine general uses, sizing and orientation of future structures at the waterfront. NBBJ will take information from this exercise and previous commission and public input to develop initial concepts for the port’s 13 acres of waterfront property.
These concepts will be presented to the public during an open house at the Terminal 1 amphitheater from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15. Port and NBBJ staff will be on hand at the open house to share information, answer questions and receive public feedback.
The port expects to present a master planning report late this summer and complete the master planning process by the end of the year.
