NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will attend the Port’s Lecture Series: “Discover Treasure in Astoria: the Columbia River Maritime Museum” on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main Street, Vancouver, Washington 98660. Doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m., and port commissioners will be available to chat with attendees before the programs begins at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this event is to hear from Capt. Bruce Jones, Executive Director, Columbia River Maritime Museum and U.S. Coast Guard (Ret) who will share stories from his varied career and discuss the museum’s mission of collecting, preserving, displaying, and interpreting maritime history—with a focus on the Columbia River and Pacific Northwest. The commission will not vote on any action items or sign any documents during the event.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will attend the Port’s Lecture Series: “Lightning Round: An Update on Port Projects and Activities” on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main Street, Vancouver, Washington 98660. Doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m., and port commissioners will be available to chat with attendees before the programs begins at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this event is to hear a comprehensive overview from Port of Vancouver USA department leadership including Alex Strogen, the port’s Chief Commercial Officer (marine and commercial); Mary Mattix, Director of Environmental Services (environmental); Mike Bomar, Chief Economic Strategy Officer (economic development and Terminal 1); and Kent Cash, Chief Operations Officer (terminal operations). Each will provide an update on their work including international trade; environmental activities, economic development and the maritime trades academy; Terminal 1 progress; and a look at the port’s capital program, terminal operations and projects underway. The commission will not vote on any action items or sign any documents during the event.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will attend the Vancouver’s 2025 State of the City Address and the Council Community Forum, beginning at 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Firstenburg Community Center, 700 NE 136th Avenue, Vancouver, Washington, 98684. The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for the public to hear about the City’s growth and progress over the past year and initiatives for 2025. The commission will not vote on any action items or sign any documents during the event.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will attend the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Luncheon, beginning at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront, 333 W Columbia Way, Vancouver, Washington, 98660. The purpose of the event is to connect with fellow members, reflect on accomplishments and explore future opportunities. The event also includes the Chamber’s year-end business meeting, highlighting key achievements and strategic goals for the year ahead. The commission will not vote on any action items or sign any documents during the event.
