Port Commission budget workshop scheduled for Oct. 27
VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss the port’s 2015 budget at a workshop on Monday, Oct. 27.
The workshop, which begins at 9 a.m., will be held at the port administrative office, 3103 Northwest Lower River Road. It is open to the public, but no official public comment will be taken.
During the workshop, port staff will walk commissioners Brian Wolfe, Nancy Baker and Jerry Oliver through the 2015 preliminary budget and answer their questions before the commissioners consider adoption of the preliminary budget at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Public input on the port’s preliminary 2015 budget is welcome at the Oct. 28 commission meeting and at the commission’s next regularly scheduled meeting in November. Open forum for both meetings begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Commission Room in the port’s administrative office.
Adoption of the preliminary budget is the first formal step in the public process of establishing the final 2015 Port of Vancouver budget. The commission is expected to vote on the final 2015 budget at its regularly scheduled November meeting, during which a formal public hearing on the subject will be held.
Regularly scheduled Board of Commissioner meetings are televised live on CVTV (Cable Channel 21) beginning at 9:30 a.m. and streamed live on www.cvtv.org. Meetings are archived within 24 hours on the same website for future viewing.
