VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners today approved 2-1 a resolution supporting replacement of the Interstate 5 Bridge over the Columbia River.

The resolution states that the ports of Vancouver, Camas-Washougal and Ridgefield support a replacement bridge and a multimodal approach that would support the region’s transportation needs. The resolution also urges Gov. Jay Inslee and the Washington State Legislature to provide adequate funding to the Washington State Department of Transportation to materially advance project development.

The Port of Camas-Washougal’s commission approved the resolution on Sept. 4; it is expected to go before the Port of Ridgefield’s commission on Sept. 12.
