statistics-facts-and-dataVANCOUVER, Wash. – On June 10, the Washington State Auditor’s Office released an official audit of the Port of Vancouver USA. The independent audit found the port in compliance with all areas of financial reporting, including federal grant program requirements. There were no findings of deficiencies or recommendations for improvement.

In a letter from State Auditor Troy Kelly that accompanied the report, he stated, “The results of our tests disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters that are required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards.”

The audit period was from Jan. 1, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2012. The Port of Vancouver USA has received clean audits for the past four years.

“We are pleased with the results of this audit,” said Jeff Estuesta, the port’s director of finances. “It provides independent validation that the port is responsibly managing the funding that comes from the state and federal governments, as well as our local taxpayers.”
